Throughout the years, OPPI has shown its commitment in improving the Filipinos quality of life through innovative products, specialized patient care, and nutrition awareness.
This year, OPPI celebrated Nutrition Month by supporting the government’s campaign themed “Ugaliing magtanim, sapat na nutrition, aanihin!”
A contest dubbed “Otsuka Farmville” was launched in July where office-based employees were asked to engage in urban gardening. The vital role and positive impact of having food gardens was discussed in a lay forum which paved the way for the employees to get their hands dirty by planting tomatoes and sweet chili, and starting their food garden in the office.
Materials needed for gardening were provided by the company. After three months, the efforts of the different teams started to pay off. Lush green plants in various sizes were seen sprouting all over the office. The teams with the tallest and liveliest plants were announced winners in early November.
In today’s world where most people in the metropolis live in condos, the exercise in our workplace made people realize that urban gardening is possible and that everybody can grow their own produce even in limited spaces.
