OPPI Employees Come Together for the 2025 NASCON at Okada, Manila

OPPI employees kicked off the year with a successful three-day National Sales Conference (NASCON) held from January 14-17 at the iconic Okada, Manila. With the theme, “United in Vision, Driving Innovation,” the event brought together nearly 190 OPPI employees for an engaging and collaborative start to the year.

The NASCON opened with a vibrant Welcome Party where attendees embraced the “Pool Party” theme by donning bright, colorful attires. The evening was highlighted by the opening remarks of Mr. Hideshi Tsunezawa, Director of Otsuka’s Pharmaceutical Business Planning, Otsuka International Asia Arab Division (OIAA).

On January 15, all employees gathered for the plenary session led by its President & General Manager, Ms. Hisayo Nishihara, who gave an overview of the company’s 2024 activities, sales performance, and the company’s strategic direction for 2025. In a milestone moment, Mr. Jerome Giovanni Lim was honored as the inaugural recipient of the 2024 OPPI Best Player Award for his outstanding contributions to the company.

Employees were also inspired to hear from this year’s NASCON guest speaker, Prof. Shinichiro Matsuguma, a professorial lecturer of positive psychology from the University of the Philippines-Diliman who gave an insightful talk on well-being and finding one’s purpose with his presentation, “Kumusta Ka? Strategies for improving our mental health”.

In the afternoon, teams split into breakout sessions to develop their Plan of Action (POA), followed by the much-anticipated Awards Night. Employees donned Casino Royale-themed outfits as they celebrated the outstanding achievements of their colleagues. Mr. Jon Castillo, National Sales Manager, and Ms. Rochelle “Cheng” Olivarez, Group Product Marketing Manager were given recognitions for their loyalty and achievements during their more than two decades of being with OPPI.

On January 16, the employees attended their respective team’s Sales Meetings in the morning session. The afternoon was then filled with excitement as employees participated in “Otsukalympics 2025: The Battle Continues” – a team-building activity that challenged teamwork and strategy. Team Red, led by OPPI’s Vice President Mr. Taiga Hayashi, emerged victorious as this year’s champions.

The evening closed with a fun and creative performance where teams showcased their generational-themed outfits and performed a lively song-and-dance number. The VizMin Group claimed victory with their high-energy performance, including Beyoncé-inspired looks and an unforgettable dance routine by their two male sales personnel.

The NASCON was indeed a powerful event that reflected OPPI’s commitment to fostering collaboration and employee camaraderie as the company moves forward into 2025.
